Uninstalling Adobe Photoshop from your computer is easy. First, you’ll need to locate all of the files that were installed on your computer when you installed the software. You can delete the installer file, which usually resides on your desktop, and you can delete the music and video files because they were added during the installation process. In my application testing, I found Lightroom 4.2 to be not only markedly superior to Photoshop, but to deal with the challenges of making images look right on mobile devices a far better than I’d expected, resulting in images that recall the look of Photoshop. At the same time, I could easily tell that Lightroom is not Photoshop. They’re different, and that difference can be a benefit for some users.
Producing, selecting, and working with images in Photoshop is a much more complicated operation on a hardware-restricted tablet device, but Lightroom records the metadata from most channels (including RGB), which could improve your final output (as I’ll discuss later in this article). In fact, that’s why I was so surprised by how well this app reproduced the look and performance of my $5,000 Sony NEX-5R camera.
To accomplish this, Lightroom 4.2 is paired with optimized image processing code developed by Imaging Resources. The code is quick, accurate, and performs truly sophisticated retouching, which is how I’m going to use it here.
To start, I would like to emphasize how well this software reproduces RAW images. Often, tablets and smartphones are used to take photographs, not make them, and that creates issues for the development and editing of the images. Conventional tablets tend to use cameras that record images using Raw files, which is how professional cameras do it. RTools digitizes scanned images, which is one process that Lightroom uses to create an image’s metadata.
What It Does: The Move Tool is used to select images from one place and move them to another. The Move tool also allows you to zoom in and out to correct for any slight pixel inaccuracies. The Select tool is used to select an area of an image for further color adjustments.
What It Does: The Spot Healing brush frees you from having to carefully select a small area that can be healed with a color you choose. The Spot Healing Brush will select a random spot in the image and use it as a template. As you manipulate the spot, the rest of the image adjusts to blend with the new color.
What It Does: The Channels panel allows you to manage your black, white, and color adjustments. The Adjust menu lets you adjust brightness, contrast, and saturation of specific camera color-corrected information. You can also create a Custom Channel, which allows you to save a channel’s adjustment settings as a channel profile.
What It Does: The Smudge Tool is used to soften and blend areas of an image to create the look that you want. It works on any solid color, and gives you the ability to soften an area of an image and blend minor imperfections. The Mist tool allows you to make a color look like another color. You can also use the Burn tool to darken an area of your image.
What It Does: The Paint Bucket tool is used to paint the color you choose on a selected area. Use the Gradient tool within the Paint Bucket tool to make a color gradient by dragging it into position.

When used in conjunction with color correction and some of the image enhancement tools in Photoshop, adaptively blending images can provide a high-quality, low-dynamic-range look to photos that would otherwise look underwhelming or unnatural. As you can see in the image above, images that lack sharpness—shown in the dark areas of the leaf (left), the water droplet (center), and some of the sky (right)—tend to appear flat. By contrast, the tonal balance (the brightest areas of the leaf, droplet, and sky) is often a natural result of the natural tonal gradation of the natural world rather than anything an artist did.
With no sharpness difference, there’s no focal point to create a screen line. Our eyes are less accurate to the sharpness in these areas because they naturally average out the sharpness to create a flattened blur of the edges. It’s as if we have added a hand-held vignette to the image to soften the edges. That’s why creating a screen line takes less effort and typically looks cleaner.
Without sharpness difference, the gradient filter feature offers the same benefits a screen line offers, but with different results. The same areas of an image that appear evenly toned to the eye appear as a gradient in Photoshop. The closer the [baseline] is to a [bright] [dark] [high] or [low] [color], the sharper the image will appear to the eye. Similarly, images that lack sharpness will look less sharp. This is why it is less accurate to change the exposure of an image with the camera-lens and Color
