In August 2013, they announced that DaVinci Resolve 11 was released as an open beta to the Blackmagic Design community. The new release of DaVinci Resolve allows for editing of 4K resolution files as well as HDR and HDR grade-stripped HDR support up to 8K resolution. It also includes improved post-production performance, and includes support for the new Xcode 6, and the Apple ProRes RAW codec.

In September, Blackmagic released DaVinci Resolve Studio Pro. This version of DaVinci Resolve provides enhanced, advanced color correction and grading controls. Resolve Studio’s workflow-oriented design allows for the production of commercials and films that require a complex yet simple adjustment to the color and tone in post-production.

The final version of DaVinci Resolve Studio was released in November 2014.

DaVinci Resolve 2011 is a Blackmagic Design video editing software. It was released on 24 May 2011 by Blackmagic Design for the Apple Macintosh. Its main features are:

DaVinci Resolve 13
DaVinci Resolve 13 is Blackmagic Design’s next generation editing software for Mac OS X. The first public release of the software was on August 15, 2012. The new version supports 4K resolution editing, extra-wide aspect ratios, sequence and content-aware color correction, and H.265/HEVC encoding at up to 40Mbps. It offers playback and timeline display of 4K HDR video sequences in up to 8K resolution.

DaVinci Resolve 13 offers a redesigned and improved user interface that streamlines user workflow. The interface is optimized for Mac Retina displays. The new version also includes the Support for Apple ProRes RAW and DNxHD codecs. Apple ProRes RAW was introduced in Apple Final Cut Studio 7.4, and DaVinci Resolve is the first application to natively support this format
